PROHIBITION
|
Prohibition? What do I think? Where shall I start? Prohibition causes an increase in the price of drugs due to riskiness, resulting not only in a havoced personal life (addiction) but fiscal ruin (debt) and not only that but it's just dumb to think that by making something illegal you can stop it from happening (especially something this relatively trivial). We're not talking about killing people here. What are we doing wrong? Endangering our health? Oh, ho, ho, America, so now you're the authority on health? Just legislate it and tax it. Big fucking deal; fuel commercialism and the impersonal reality of modern society and globalization. I mean, if something's going to ruin somebody's life, they might as well have some fucking money afterwards. We'd still have rehab. Jesus! And for all of those who say, "Oh, but marijuana smoke is so much worse for you than tobacco smoke." Well, since this is a qualitative statement, let's take a little more REALISTIC approach to thought for once, shall we? You people can process ideas that are matters of potentiality, right? Well, since nicotine is statistically the most addictive substance on earth, and since, primarily, most people intake said substance through a process of burning the dried plant material of any of the various plants in the genus Nicotiana, you can infer that legalizing a substance such as tobacco can POTENTIALLY, POTENTIALLY kill millions of people a year. Oh, wait, it already does, doesn't it? Then what's your defense for that? A matter of choice? People probably intake a much more menial amount of carcinogens by smoking a joint that they could pad out over the course of a day, then by a fucking pack of 20, commercial-grade, nasty-shit-filled cigarettes. Notice they always use the term "tobacco smoke," instead of "cigarette smoke," which is what they should use, considering that is the foremost source of tobacco smoke in "urbane" civilization. So, let's see here: FUCK YOUR BOUNDARIES.
